Denyse van Opbergen is a strategic sustainability leader focused on accelerating decarbonization across the built environment. As Director of Climate and Sustainability at EllisDon, she drives company-wide climate strategy, governance, and net-zero transition planning, aligning sustainability goals with business performance and project delivery.

Her work spans the full building lifecycle, with a focus on reducing emissions from construction site operations and materials. Denyse collaborates closely with project teams, supply-chain partners, and clients to translate climate targets into practical, scalable actions that can be implemented on active jobsites.

With a background in public policy, consulting, and in-house leadership, Denyse brings a systems-level perspective to climate action, understanding how policy, market forces, and operations intersect. She is known for convening diverse stakeholders and fostering collaboration to advance a lower-carbon, more resilient built environment.
